Nissan Rogue 2012 RF Kit won't program

0 votes

Hi,

I bought the set from axxone which includes the evo one, t-harness and rfkit. I was able to successfully program the unit, but i have not been able to program the remotes at all. I tried re-flashing to the latest version. Tried changing the rfkit option for the restarter side from Fortin FM to Fortin 2.

I also switched the valet mode to make sure the unit is not armed. I have read other posts that had the same issue as mine.

Turn ignition on, press valet switch, I do not hear any chirp or parking lights confirmation, but i see the fast flashing red from  the unit close to the yellow loop at whch point I release then press valet switch 5 times ( i hear confirmation from unit each time a press). step on the brake but nothing happens. Antenna LED does not flash or light up at all.

I also saw a response which suggested that it may not be receiving a signal from Brake and advised to jump it. I am not sure what it means. anyway is there another way to simulate a brake press? or should I connect directly to the brake wire (-)? SInce I am using T harness, which wire would that be?

I am really frustrated at this point. I even ordered another EVO ONE unit, in case the one I got was bad. Still waiting on delivery, but I guess I should have asked you 1st.

When pressing ther foot brake, does the red led on the side of the module flash once ?

If no, the module is net seeing your footbrake press. Make sure the rear brake light turn on when you are pressing the pedal. If they are not your brake switch might be bad.

To program the RF-KIT follow these steps. (Also found in the latest guide update https://cdn.fortin.ca/download/33051/rf442w-install-guide-33051.pdf )

1. Turn ignition ON -OFF - ON    (the RED led on the BACK of the unit will turn on)

2. Press and release the brake 4 times (the RED led and the antenna led will start to flash)

3. Press the [-] then the LOCK button on each remote.

4. Turn ignition OFF.

Done

If step 1 does not work, the module is not seeing IGNITION or you might simpy be going to fast.

If step 2 does not work, the module may not be detecting the brake or you are going to fast. You can replicate brake press by sending 12V to the BLACK wire on the 20-pin connector.

Some RF-KITs come with a little Y adporter. This piece should not be connected to the EVO-ONE. The antenna cable directly plugs into the smaller of the two blue ports.
