EVO-ALL versus EVO-ONE? Should I just buy EVO-ONE?

0 votes

I'd like to install a remote car starter into my 2018 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid (PTS).  According to this website, both the EVO-ONE and EVO-ALL will work.

However, only the EVO-ONE supports the DEI DSM550 (aka Viper VSM550).

Should I just purchase the EVO-ONE instead of the EVO-ALL?

Am I correct that the EVO-ONE can do everything that the EVO-ALL can do plus more?  ...or can the EVO-ALL performs certain functions that the EVO-ONE can't?

EVO-ONE if you need the smartstart. Right there, that's something the EVO-ALL cannot do.

Thanks very much for the reply!

Is there anything that the EVO-ALL can do that the more expensive EVO-ONE cannot?

I can't find the document, but I believe I saw something where the EVO-ALL supported a bunch of extra features?  (it seems odd seeing how the EVO-ONE is more expensive but that what's I'm trying to make sure of)

The guide for the Flashlink4 is what I was referring to:  https://cdn02.fortin.ca/download/68731/reg_ug_an_flm4_a_68731.pdf

There seems to be a ton of options only available on the EVO-ALL which seems like it's better in a lot of ways.   This is what's confusing me.  :(

Because all the evo-all options in an evo-one are not necessary. They are part of the basic remote starter options in the EVO-ONE.

EVO-ALL is bypass module first. Normally used with a third party remote starter.
On some cars, that require only low current connections, the EVO-ALL can be used as a Stand Alone remote starter and in some cases as a an alarm aswell.

The EVO-ONE is a high current capable alarm and remote starter with a built in EVO-ALL. It covers all the same vehicles that an evo-all can do remote start along a ton of more cars that require highcurrent for remote start.

Is there anything that the EVO-ALL can do that the more expensive EVO-ONE cannot?

No

Thanks!  I've placed an order for the EVO-ONE.
