Okay where to begin...
I have a customer with a 2011 Subaru Impreza (Manual) I installed Evo-One w/ RF 2-way kit. I have wiring installed exactly as the diagram on Fortin Site. Updated Firmware and Programming and Decrypter Steps were done successfully. After hooking up all connections and programming RF Kit, checked that keyless entry worked which it does. I tried to remote start but realized unit was not in ready mode (reservation mode) So i started the vehicle with key, pressed foot brake and engaged handbrake, pressed start button on 2 way remotes (got confirmations with parking lights) removed key and opened and closed door causing vehicle to shut off like it is supposed too. I remained in vehicle and tried to remote start vehicle and on first attempt did not start, assuming clutch wasnt grounded so i pushed clutch in on 2nd attempt and vehicle started and left vehicle running for about 10 minutes. I then attempted to do a key take over and remote start wouldnt disengage with foot brake, start button on RF remote, or even or shut down with a toggle switch I wired inline with hood pin switch. I had to remove primary harness from evo one to shut vehicle off. I reinstall the primary wire and vehicle goes straight into ignition with all lights on dash and a solid orange wire on unit. I went over a butch of test with Fortin Tech and he deemed my unit bad because what ever we he instructed didnt fix the unit power up the second you install primary harness, so i exchanged with distributor for a new one. I went to install new unit same exact thing is happening, Vehicle started ran, with me bypassing clutch again manually which is wired as in diagram but once again vehicle wont shut off. Im guessing it must be seeing foot brake signal threw CAN if it it does the ready mode (reservation mode) steps. What else can it be that shorting out the EVO-One??
