2012 honda civic EVO- ONE programming issues

+1 vote

I have a 2012 Honda civic ex and trying to program an EVO-ONE with 3x lock oem remote start.  This is with the  THAR-ONE-HON2 T-Harness.  I am following guide 57751. Here's what's happening durring programmimg.

i hold down prgm button, plug in main 6 pin - release on red - stays red - plug in remaining connections - press prgm buttonn twice - red light goes out when button depressed (2x)  then red light flashes every 2 seconds constantly - turn key to on position and nothing lights up.  no 10x red flash rapidly and no rapidly flashing blue light.

I didnt plug in the lock/unlock wires as per manual.  I've tried this with the doors open/shut.  I've tried this with the key in/out of the ignition.  I followed the trouble shooting guide for red light not flashing rapidly 10x.  I've checked to make sure that there isn't 12v on the yellow 20 pin wire when the ignition is off and made sure that it had the 12v power when the ignition was on.  i confirmed the continuity on the lt blue/black wire to the immobilizer.

i did not hook up the parking lights wire because it says optional on the wire.

i did not hook up the horn wire (is this a mandatory connection?}

car has oem hood sensor already installed so i did not hook up the hood pin.  is it nessesary to plug in and hook up the hood pin to make it work on the EVO-ONE? I've tried this with and without.

I have a flash updater 2, installed the latest firmware 73.21. and have performed a master reset on the EVO-ALL.  None of which seemed to have changed a thing.  I have options C1 and D2 enabled in bypass mode and option 38.2 on in remote start mode.  That has also been updated and reupdated after master reset to ver. 1.19.  Everyone brags how they installed this system in 20 mins and got it working, while i have been pulling my hair out for hours.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thank You for your time.

The first light that should flash is the red one when the key bypass is programed. This procedure is looking for data on the light blue/black wire. Make sure this wire is not damaged and also make sure that the red connector is fuly inserted in the module.

Do you have a REV1 or REV2 tharness ?

The red one does not flash nor does the blue light flash when i turn the ignition on following the guides directions exactly.  I have a REV1 T-harness and I've checked for continuity on the light blue/black wire from the 20pin to the immobilizer male and female plug ends on the harness.  The red connecter is fully inserted, I've tried this procedure many times.  I've made sure to only pull on the red plug and not the wires when i have done so.  Thanks for the reply.
With the REV1 harness, there's a Yellow wire that the install guide mentions to interupt. Rejoin the wire and try the programming then. If it goes through, you'll want to take a look a which wires are being used for that interupt.

Forgive me if you already answered this but....Did you hook up the lock and unlock wires?

Was the T-Hanress modified exactly were we show in the installation guide for the imo cut?

I first did this with the lock/unlock disconected and i have also tried it with it connected.  I verified that i had the correct wires by grounding them out and activating the lock then the unlock.

I removed all the tape and verified that the yellow/green and the yellow/red wires on the red plug were properly spliced into the yellow wire on the immobilizer and they were done very good.  the yellow/green is on the D1 terminal and the yellow/red wire is on the D3 terminal on the red clip, where it belongs according to the manual.  the wires are not loose in the red clip and make a contact with the pins in the clip.  tested with ohmmeter.  Thanks for the response.
As Robert suggested. remove the cut put the wire back together and try to re program the module.

Also make sure the lt.blue and white/black wires are NOT connected when programming.
Okay, i will try to hook it back together without the interupt when i get home from work tonight.  i didnt see Robert's comment.  I will let you know what happens later tonight.  Thanks again guys.
T-harness connected and the ground wire grounded is all that is needed to program the module. The rest is all for proper operation.

Alright, sorry for the delay.  I tried to reprogram after putting the yellow wire back to its original state and the same exact thing happened.  No other wires were connected durring programming, just the T-harness's

Update: I went back to the REV1 connection where the yellow wire is spliced and performed another master reset.  Also updated firmware on the bypass side back to 73.19.  Now step 4 is successful - when i press the program button 2x the red led flashes once each second. However, when i turn the ignition to the on/run position, no leds come on at all.
