Can I turn EVO on- off whenn I need?

Can I insert on- off switch between +12V and EVO to  turn it on or off when I want?

Is that effect EVO or the car?.

I would highly disrecommend installing a switch on the constant 12V.

You can always use valet mode to turn unit on or off.
