GM remote starts - Data Link devices?

Question

When I bought my 2011 Silverado, I had them install remote start because they were giving me a good deal on it. I don't know the brand that Chevy uses, so I don't known if it is compatible with the Fortin Data link protocols. Also, where do they typically install the remote starters? I am kind of new to this.

Hi Christopher,

Remote starters are normaly installed under the driver side dash. A quick google search will bring you up many results: tips, trick, how-to's, images, videos etc...
