Hi,

A8 is a hood pin input. This is a negative signal given from a hood pin that would need to be added under your hood. The Purpose of that is so whenever the hood is opened, ground would be present on the wire and this would prevent the vehicle from remote starting. You can either install  a hood pin or a regular on/off switch so that you can easily turn off the system when bringing the vehicle to a mechanic for servicing. This prevents a mechanic from being hurt if someone accidentaly remote starts the vehicle.

A13 (-)External Input,  is another way of activating the remote starter. When a ground pulse is received, it initiates the remote starter. A second pulse on that wire would stop the remote starter. This connection is not required and only used in special applications.

A14 (-)Parking Light ouput is ment to be used to control the vehicles parking lights to give the user an indication that the vehicle started.  On the Jeep Wrangler the parking lights signal in the vehicle is actually a poisitive signal. So in order to have them work properly, a relay would be required to convert the EVO negative signal to a positive signal.
